Homespun Cotton Apron
Regular price £72.00
Chinese homespun fabric is a tough, durable cotton fabric traditionally woven on a hand loom at home and was considered part of a woman's dowry. It is now rarely made but old bolts of the cloth can still be found. By patchworking pieces of this vintage fabric and cutting to ensure no waste, each apron is completely unique. The aprons are made by a social enterprise based in Shanghai for people with special needs, with its own independent factory it offers support and training to its members.
Cross back design with adjustable straps. Measures approx. 62cm across waist, 81cm length, has small chest pocket and large waist pocket. Due to patchwork each garment is completely unique.
